Prime Minister disbursed Rs 3,000 crore under the PM‑KISAN scheme to more than 35.38 lakh farmers in Odisha.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the disbursement of Rs 3,000 crore under the PM‑KISAN scheme to over 35.38 lakh farmers across Odisha. The amount, part of the second instalment of the flagship agricultural support programme, will be credited directly to the farmers’ bank accounts through the state’s banking network.
The PM‑KISAN scheme, launched in 2019, aims to provide income support of Rs 6,000 per month to every eligible farmer. The recent instalment is expected to strengthen the financial security of farmers in the state and support agricultural productivity.
State officials confirmed that the funds have been transferred to the designated accounts and that beneficiaries can access the money immediately. The disbursement reflects the central government’s continued focus on rural development and agricultural welfare.
