Pioneer Edge announced that from October 26 it will publicly display manufacturing information and expiry dates for its range of sweets.
Pioneer Edge, a confectionery firm, has issued a notice that starting October 26 it will begin showcasing manufacturing data alongside the expiry dates for its sweets. The move aims to enhance transparency for consumers, allowing them to verify product freshness and production standards at the point of sale. The company said the displayed information will be updated regularly to reflect any changes in batch numbers or shelf-life assessments.
According to the announcement, the new labeling will be placed on packaging and in retail displays, ensuring that shoppers can easily access the details without needing to consult external sources. Pioneer Edge emphasized that this initiative aligns with its commitment to quality control and consumer trust.
The decision comes amid growing consumer demand for clearer food labeling across the Indian market. While no specific regulatory directive prompted the change, the company indicated that it hopes the practice may set a benchmark for other manufacturers in the sweets segment.
