A high‑speed pickup dumper collided on the Bhind‑Gwalior road near Chheemka village, killing eight people and injuring 26 others.
A pickup dumper travelling at high speed crashed into a group of pedestrians on the Bhind‑Gwalior road near Chheemka village, Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh. Eight victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while 26 others sustained injuries ranging from mild to severe.
Emergency services arrived quickly and transported the injured to Gohad Hospital for immediate treatment. Those with serious injuries were subsequently referred to a tertiary care centre in Gwalior for further care.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and are reviewing traffic conditions on the stretch of road where the collision occurred.
