A balloon bearing the Pakistan International Airlines logo was found in Jammu, prompting authorities to investigate its source and purpose.
A bright balloon marked with the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) logo was discovered near a public park in Jammu on Tuesday. The balloon, which had been deflated and left on the ground, was reported to local police by a passer‑by.
Jammu Police Commissioner’s Office confirmed that the balloon had been recovered and is now under investigation. Officers are examining the balloon’s material and markings to determine whether it was a promotional item or part of a larger event.
The discovery has raised questions about how a PIA‑branded balloon ended up in Jammu, a city that shares a border with Pakistan. Officials have not yet ruled out the possibility of a cross‑border promotional campaign or a misdirected shipment.
The police have asked the public to come forward with any information about the balloon’s origin. No official statement has been released by PIA regarding the incident.
