Employees will soon be able to withdraw their Provident Fund (PF) using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment system, with the facility expected to be available from July. Additionally, an interest rate of 8.25% for PF accounts has received approval.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to enable Provident Fund (PF) withdrawals through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment gateway. This new facility is anticipated to be operational starting July, offering greater convenience to account holders.

The move aims to streamline the withdrawal process, making it faster and more accessible for millions of subscribers across India. UPI's widespread adoption and ease of use are expected to significantly improve the subscriber experience.

In parallel, the EPFO has also secured approval for an interest rate of 8.25% on Provident Fund deposits for the current fiscal year. This decision provides clarity on the returns subscribers can expect on their savings.
