PCB clears Mohammad Rizwan to play in Pakistan's domestic T20 tournament

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that it has granted Mohammad Rizwan permission to take part in the forthcoming domestic cricket tournament. The decision allows the seasoned international player to feature alongside domestic sides, adding experience to the competition. PCB officials confirmed the clearance without providing further details on the specific tournament schedule or format. Rizwan, a regular member of Pakistan's national team, is expected to bring his batting and keeping skills to the domestic arena, which could benefit emerging players. The move underscores PCB's intent to integrate national stars into the domestic circuit.

The approval comes as the domestic season approaches, with teams preparing their squads. While the board did not elaborate on any conditions attached to the participation, the inclusion of a high‑profile player like Rizwan is likely to draw greater attention to the tournament.

Stakeholders in Pakistani cricket have welcomed the decision, noting that it offers a platform for Rizwan to maintain match fitness ahead of international commitments. The PCB's endorsement signals its support for blending international experience with local talent development.
