Patna Prepares for 90‑Foot Ravan Vadh Effigy Burning

Patna is on the brink of completing preparations for its annual Ravan Vadh festival, scheduled to take place in the coming days. The highlight of the event will be the burning of a 90‑foot tall effigy of Ravana, the legendary demon king. Local authorities have coordinated with community groups to ensure the structure is safely erected and that crowd control measures are in place. The festival, which draws thousands of devotees and tourists, is a major cultural event in Bihar’s capital. Organisers have also announced that the effigy will be set ablaze in a controlled pyrotechnic display to minimise environmental impact.
