Pathankot in Punjab will be transformed into a centre for international dialogue, with prominent participants from fourteen countries confirmed for the inaugural event.
The Punjab government announced that Pathankot will be developed as a hub for global dialogue, aiming to attract thought leaders and policymakers from around the world. The inaugural gathering is scheduled to feature prominent figures representing fourteen different nations, underscoring the city's new role on the international stage.
Organisers say the event will focus on issues ranging from trade and technology to climate cooperation, providing a platform for multilateral discussions. Officials highlighted that the choice of Pathankot leverages its strategic location near the northern frontier and existing infrastructure.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to position Indian cities as venues for high‑level diplomatic and economic exchanges. Details on the exact program and participating personalities will be released in the coming weeks.
