Parul University Goa and Health Directorate Open New Physiotherapy Centres Across Goa

Parul University Goa, in partnership with the Directorate of Health Services, inaugurated a network of physiotherapy and rehabilitation centres across the state, aiming to enhance access to post‑operative and chronic care.
In a ceremony held across Goa, Parul University Goa and the Directorate of Health Services jointly inaugurated a series of physiotherapy and rehabilitation centres aimed at improving patient care in the state.
The new centres are designed to provide comprehensive physiotherapy services, including post‑operative rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and preventive care. They will be staffed by trained physiotherapists and allied health professionals.
The collaboration between the university and the health department seeks to bridge gaps in access to rehabilitative services, especially in rural and underserved areas of Goa. By expanding the network of centres, the initiative intends to reduce recovery times and improve quality of life for patients.
Officials highlighted that the centres will also serve as training hubs for students of physiotherapy and allied health courses at Parul University, providing practical exposure and fostering research in rehabilitation medicine.
