Goa police have called a woman in Panaji for allegedly chanting slogans during a protest linked to the Chief Justice of India.

Panaji police on Wednesday issued a summons to a woman suspected of uttering slogans associated with a protest against the Chief Justice of India. The summons was served at the police station in the state capital, Goa, after authorities received complaints that the woman had shouted the slogans in a public area.

According to a statement released by the Goa police, the woman was identified through eyewitness accounts and video footage. She is expected to appear before the investigating officer on a specified date to answer questions regarding the alleged slogans, which police say could incite unrest.

The incident comes amid a series of demonstrations across the country demanding judicial reforms. While the protest has drawn large crowds in several cities, law‑enforcement agencies have warned that any public expression that could disturb public order will be scrutinised under existing statutes.
