In a statement released on Thursday, Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, alleged that 122 registered Muslim voters had been removed from the Goshamahal constituency electoral roll.
The candidate said the deletions were part of a systematic attempt to disenfranchise the Muslim community in the Hyderabad suburb.
Owaisi has called on the Election Commission of India to launch an inquiry and to take corrective action against the alleged irregularities.
