From 1 November, more than one million vehicles registered in the National Capital Region will be prohibited from entering Delhi, as per the new traffic regulation announced by authorities.

The Delhi government has issued an order that, effective 1 November, over one million vehicles registered in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be barred from entering the capital city.

Officials indicated that the restriction is intended to ease traffic congestion and improve air quality within Delhi’s limits.

The ban will be enforced at all major entry points to the city, with traffic police overseeing compliance through existing monitoring mechanisms.

Commuters who rely on private cars are being urged to consider public transport, car‑pooling or alternative routes to mitigate the impact of the new rule.
