Oman secures 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier spot on superior net run rate

Oman has earned a place in the 2027 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, advancing on the basis of a superior net run rate. The team finished level on points with a competing side in the final round of the qualifying tournament, but its higher net run rate ensured progression.

The qualification round saw several associate nations vie for the limited slots, with Oman delivering consistent performances throughout the series. Their ability to score quickly and restrict opponents contributed to the crucial net run rate advantage.

With the spot secured, Oman will join other qualifiers in the upcoming global event, aiming to compete for a berth in the 2027 Cricket World Cup.
