The Odisha Police, led by IGP Satyajit Naik, inaugurated a new aid post at Siali to bolster coastal surveillance and emergency response.
Odisha Police has expanded its coastal footprint with the opening of a new aid post in the Siali region, a move aimed at enhancing maritime security and rapid response capabilities along the state's shoreline.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Inspector General Satyajit Naik, who highlighted the strategic importance of Siali as a key point for monitoring maritime traffic and preventing illegal activities such as smuggling and piracy.
The aid post will be equipped with modern communication tools, surveillance equipment, and a dedicated team of officers trained in coastal policing and disaster management. It is expected to serve as a first line of defense during natural calamities, especially in the wake of recent cyclonic threats.
Police officials have indicated that this development is part of a broader initiative to strengthen coastal law enforcement across Odisha, with additional posts planned for other vulnerable areas in the coming months.
