With the festive season approaching, artisans in Odisha are reporting a sharp rise in demand for traditional diyas, boosting their seasonal business.
The upcoming Diwali festival is driving a noticeable uptick in sales for diya makers across Odisha.
Artisans in the state, who craft a variety of traditional clay and metal diyas, are seeing increased orders from local retailers and consumers preparing for the celebrations.
This seasonal demand has translated into a business boom for the small-scale manufacturers, with many reporting higher turnover during the festive period.
Industry observers note that the surge reflects the enduring popularity of diyas in Diwali rituals and could sustain higher production levels in the months leading up to the festival.
