Odisha Chief Minister met with top industry leaders at the CII Eastern Region Council Meeting, announcing a thrust sector and the GO-EAST initiative. The state aims to become a platform for industrial growth in Eastern India.

Odisha's Chief Minister has positioned the state as a key platform for industrial expansion across Eastern India. This announcement came during the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region Council Meeting, hosted for the first time in Odisha. The event saw participation from over 230 industry representatives.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister unveiled a new 'Thrust Sector' focus and the 'GO-EAST Initiative', aimed at fostering economic development in the region. These initiatives underscore Odisha's commitment to becoming a significant industrial hub.

Further bolstering the state's industrial prospects, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth a substantial Rs 24,823 crore were signed. These agreements are expected to drive investment and create employment opportunities within Odisha and the wider eastern region.
