Odisha Chief Minister Majhi held talks with a United Arab Emirates minister to explore new investment opportunities and deepen economic cooperation between the two regions.
Odisha Chief Minister Majhi met with a senior minister from the United Arab Emirates in a bilateral discussion aimed at expanding investment links between the Indian state and the Gulf nation. The two leaders exchanged views on enhancing trade, infrastructure and renewable‑energy projects, signalling a renewed focus on economic partnership.
The UAE side highlighted its interest in sectors such as ports, logistics, tourism and clean energy, while Odisha officials outlined the state's readiness to provide policy incentives and land parcels for prospective investors. Both parties agreed to set up a joint task force to identify concrete projects and streamline approval processes.
The meeting builds on existing ties that have seen several UAE firms invest in Odisha's industrial corridors. Officials said the outcome will be presented to their respective governments within weeks, with a view to signing memoranda of understanding that could generate significant employment and revenue for the state.
