BSc Nursing and GNM students continued their protest in Bhopal, with police stopping them at Polytechnic Chowk as they tried to reach the Chief Minister's residence, demanding resolution of pending exams, degree issuance, registration and scholarships.

Bhopal's nursing student community, comprising BSc Nursing and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) aspirants, kept their demonstration alive on the streets of the capital. The protesters gathered near the Polytechnic Chowk, intending to march towards the Chief Minister's official residence to press their grievances.

Police personnel intervened at the Polytechnic intersection, forming a barrier that prevented the crowd from advancing further. Officers cited security concerns and the need to maintain public order as reasons for the blockade.

The students are demanding immediate action on several long‑standing issues: clearance of examinations that have been pending for up to six years, issuance of academic degrees, completion of registration processes with the state nursing council, and the disbursement of promised scholarships.

The protest reflects growing frustration among health‑sector trainees in Madhya Pradesh, who argue that delayed certifications jeopardize both their careers and the state's healthcare workforce.

Authorities have yet to announce a concrete timeline for addressing the demands, and the situation remains under close watch as students plan further peaceful actions.
