A group of Indian nuns in Kerala is working to build a supportive community for the state's overlooked auto-rickshaw drivers.
In Kerala, a group of nuns has begun a grassroots project to unite auto‑rickshaw drivers who have long been overlooked by mainstream society.
The sisters organize regular meetings, offering a platform for drivers to share concerns, discuss safety, and explore opportunities for collective action.
By fostering a sense of belonging and providing informal support, the initiative seeks to improve the drivers’ welfare and give them a stronger voice in the community.
