The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) has commenced fuel loading for the 700‑megawatt Unit‑8 at the Rajasthan nuclear power project, marking a key step towards its commissioning.
NPCIL began fuel loading at Unit 8 of the 700 MW Rajasthan nuclear power project, according to Business Standard. This activity is part of the final phases before the reactor can be commissioned.
The Rajasthan project, part of India’s civilian nuclear programme, aims to add 700 MW of clean energy to the national grid. Unit 8 is the latest of the series of reactors being constructed at the site.
