The private university NMIMS has finalized land registration for its upcoming campus in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, marking a key step toward its launch.
New Delhi-based Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) has secured the legal registration of land allotted for its new campus in Nava Raipur, the planned capital of Chhattisgarh. The registration, confirmed by university officials, clears the last major regulatory hurdle before construction can commence.
The campus is expected to host a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in management, engineering, and liberal arts, aligning with the state government's push to expand higher‑education infrastructure. NMIMS officials indicated that the institution will collaborate with local authorities to ensure the campus meets regional development goals.
While a detailed timeline has not been disclosed, the university has signalled that academic activities could begin within a few years, subject to completion of building works and faculty recruitment. The move adds to a growing list of private institutions setting up satellite campuses in tier‑2 cities across India.
