The National Medical Commission has sanctioned an additional 50 MBBS seats at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences in Raipur, expanding the institution’s capacity to train future doctors.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially approved the addition of 50 MBBS seats at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences (SRSIMS) in Raipur.
Previously, the institute offered 200 MBBS seats; the new approval brings the total capacity to 250 seats for the upcoming academic year.
The expansion is expected to accommodate more aspiring medical students from Chhattisgarh and neighboring states, easing the competition for limited seats in government medical colleges.
In a statement, the NMC cited the institute’s compliance with infrastructure, faculty, and clinical training standards as key reasons for the approval.
