Harihar, Sept 3 – Senior JD(S) leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy visited K. Bevinahalli village in Harihar taluk as part of the ‘Raitha Swabhimana Yatra’ to assess drought conditions. He began the visit with prayers at Sri Kashi Vishwanatha Temple.
Speaking after the prayer, Kumaraswamy said that farmers’ problems would be addressed if his party were given an opportunity to form the government in the future, and outlined possible solutions to the drought‑related challenges faced by the agricultural community.
Former MLA H. S. Shivashankar highlighted the widespread problems affecting villages across Harihar taluk and praised the party’s contributions to farmers’ welfare. Former MLC Chowdareddy, Sirigeri Parameshwaragowda, JD(S) district president Chidanandappa, along with village elders and residents, attended the programme and supported the discussions.
