Nighttime mercury fell to 12.5°C in Sikar and Fatehpur, and the IMD forecasts a further 1‑2°C drop across Jaipur and other districts over the next week.
The recent night saw a sharp fall in temperature across parts of Rajasthan, with thermometers in Sikar and Fatehpur recording a low of 12.5°C. This marks a noticeable cooling trend as the region moves deeper into winter.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating that the weather will remain dry for the coming week. It expects night-time temperatures in Jaipur and several other divisions to dip an additional one to two degrees Celsius.
Authorities advise residents to dress warmly during the evenings and to stay alert for any health impacts that colder nights may bring, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.
