The Black Caps have reinstated all‑rounder Finn Allen, fast bowler Lockie Ferguson and wicket‑keeper Tim Seifert ahead of the upcoming One‑Day International series against India.
New Zealand Cricket announced that Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert have been added back to the squad for the forthcoming One‑Day International (ODI) series against India. The decision comes as the Black Caps prepare for the high‑profile encounter on Indian soil.
Allen, a left‑handed batting all‑rounder, Ferguson, a right‑arm fast bowler, and Seifert, the experienced wicket‑keeper, were previously omitted from the touring party but have now been recalled to strengthen the side’s balance.
Cricket New Zealand said the three players have shown form and fitness in recent domestic competitions, prompting the recall. Their inclusion expands the options for the coaching staff as they plan line‑ups for the five‑match series.
The series, scheduled for later this month, will test New Zealand’s depth against a strong Indian side. The recalled trio will aim to make an immediate impact and help the team compete for a series win on foreign ground.
