New Bus Stops Launched Near RTC X Roads to Reduce Hyderabad Traffic

The Telangana transport department opened a pair of modern bus shelters at the RTC X Roads intersection in Hyderabad on Monday. The facilities include covered waiting areas, digital route displays and designated alighting zones for city buses. Officials said the stops are part of a broader plan to streamline passenger flow and reduce vehicle queues at the congested junction.

Traffic engineers highlighted that the new shelters will encourage commuters to use public buses rather than private vehicles, thereby easing the bottleneck that often forms during peak hours. The design also incorporates dedicated lanes for buses to improve punctuality and reduce dwell time at the crossing.
