Over a third of candidates registered for the NEET-UG re-examination are from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. These three states collectively account for 34.4% of the total registrations.

The concentration of candidates from these regions is notable, with the Hindi-belt states, including Uttar Pradesh, collectively representing 44% of the applicant pool for the retest.
