NDTV chief Rahul Kanwal called the channel the ‘OG of India’s digital ecosystem’ and said it can become the country’s voice on the global stage.
NDTV chief executive and editor-in-chief Rahul Kanwal told reporters that the network has the potential to serve as India’s voice to the world. He highlighted NDTV’s long‑standing presence across television and online platforms, describing it as the "OG of India’s digital ecosystem."
Kanwal said the channel’s editorial credibility and extensive digital reach position it to project Indian perspectives internationally, competing with established global news outlets. He outlined plans to expand NDTV’s content distribution, forge partnerships with foreign broadcasters, and increase multilingual reporting to cater to a worldwide audience.
The comments were made during a recent internal briefing aimed at charting NDTV’s future growth strategy, signalling a clear intent to broaden the broadcaster’s global footprint while maintaining its core journalistic standards.
