The BJP-JD(S) coalition secured four seats, including a win for JD(S) candidate A.P. Ranganatha, marking a major triumph in Bidar.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)] recorded a decisive victory in the recent Legislative Council elections in Bidar, Karnataka. Party officials said the alliance won a total of four seats, with three seats going to BJP candidates and one seat secured by JD(S) candidate A.P. Ranganatha.

JD(S) state general secretary Rajshekhar Javali expressed satisfaction with the result, noting that the win has injected fresh enthusiasm among the coalition’s workers. He highlighted the coordinated efforts of leaders and volunteers, continuous engagement with voters, and vocal advocacy on public issues as key factors behind the success.

Javali reiterated JD(S)’s commitment to farmer welfare, rural development, and the upliftment of the poor, urging party cadres to translate the electoral momentum into sustained public service. He thanked the teacher voters who supported the coalition and the activists who worked tirelessly for the victory.
