NCP leader Jayant Patil has raised concerns over the slow release of the black‑box analysis in the probe of Ajit Pawar’s recent plane crash, while the deputy chief minister met the CID for an update.

Ajit Pawar's private aircraft went down earlier this month, prompting a multi‑agency investigation that includes the Crime Investigation Department (CID). The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Jayant Patil publicly questioned why the analysis of the flight data recorder, commonly referred to as the black box, has not yet been released, calling the delay "unacceptable" for a matter of public safety.

In a separate development, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met senior CID officials at their headquarters to receive a briefing on the progress of the probe. Sources said the meeting focused on the status of forensic examinations, witness statements and the timeline for submitting a formal report to the state government.

Authorities have indicated that the black‑box retrieval was completed but that technical verification is still underway, which they say is causing the lag. The CID has promised to expedite the analysis and submit its findings within the next two weeks, while the NCP has urged the government to ensure transparency and swift action.
