The National Crime Branch’s order to freeze 25 properties worth Rs 20.10 crore in a pharmaceutical drug diversion case has been upheld by the court.

The Delhi court on Tuesday confirmed the National Crime Branch’s directive to immobilise 25 assets, collectively valued at about Rs 20.10 crore, in connection with a pharmaceutical drug‑diversion investigation.

The NCB had earlier obtained a freezing order after tracing the alleged diversion of regulated medicines to the black market, prompting a probe that linked the assets to the accused network.

By upholding the order, the judiciary signalled its support for aggressive asset‑seizure measures in complex drug‑related crimes, reinforcing the legal framework that enables authorities to disrupt financial proceeds of such illicit activities.

The decision also paves the way for the NCB to move forward with further confiscation or auction of the properties, subject to subsequent legal processes, as part of its broader effort to curb pharmaceutical fraud.
