Navi Mumbai police recovered a drug stash valued at 41.6 lakh rupees and detained one suspect during a raid on a residential area.
Navi Mumbai police carried out a raid in a residential locality on Thursday, seizing a cache of illicit drugs worth 41.6 lakh rupees. The operation was conducted by the Narcotics Control Squad after receiving intelligence about a drug trafficking setup in the area.
Among the seized items were packets of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as a large quantity of paraphernalia used for drug preparation. The seized drugs were documented and stored for further forensic analysis.
During the raid, police apprehended one suspect who was allegedly involved in the distribution of the drugs. He was taken into custody and is currently being processed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
A spokesperson for the Navi Mumbai Police said the operation was part of an ongoing campaign to curb drug trafficking in the city. "We remain vigilant and will continue to take stringent action against drug-related crimes," the officer added.
The incident highlights the growing concern over drug abuse in the region and the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
