Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced the Quantum Valley project for Amaravati, urging five lakh IIT alumni to contribute expertise.

Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh – In a high‑profile event, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu presented the blueprint for a new technology hub named "Quantum Valley". The initiative aims to position the state’s capital as a centre for advanced research, start‑ups and quantum‑computing enterprises.

Naidu appealed directly to the nation’s pool of IIT graduates, estimating a potential involvement of five lakh alumni. He said their technical know‑how and mentorship could accelerate the ecosystem, attract private investment and create high‑skill jobs.

The government plans to allocate land and provide fiscal incentives, while seeking partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders. Officials indicated that detailed project documents will be released in the coming weeks, outlining timelines and funding mechanisms.

Stakeholders welcomed the proposal, noting that a focused quantum‑technology cluster could complement existing IT corridors and boost Andhra Pradesh’s innovation profile on the global stage.
