The draft electoral roll for Nagaland will be published today under the Special Identity Register initiative, with nearly 160,000 residents potentially omitted from the initial list.
The office of the Chief Electoral Officer in Nagaland announced that the draft electoral roll (e-roll) will be made public today.
This draft is being prepared as part of the Special Identity Register (SIR) exercise undertaken across the state to verify citizen details.
Officials estimate that nearly 1.60 lakh individuals may not appear in this first list and could be missing from the preliminary publication.
Residents are advised to check their names and details in the draft and submit any necessary corrections before the final roll is published.
