The Nagaland Police announced that a unified online portal for filing complaints will be operational within the next 12 days.

The Nagaland Police have confirmed that a single‑window portal for lodging complaints online will be launched within 12 days. The initiative aims to streamline grievance redressal by allowing citizens to register complaints through a dedicated website, eliminating the need for physical visits to police stations.

According to the announcement, the portal will support a range of complaint types, from minor civic issues to more serious criminal matters. Users will be able to track the status of their submissions and receive updates via email or SMS.

Police officials said the system is being built in collaboration with the state’s IT department and will adhere to data‑security standards. Once live, the portal is expected to improve response times and enhance transparency in police‑citizen interactions.

The rollout timeline was disclosed to India Today NE, which reported that the portal will go live after final testing and user‑training phases are completed.
