The Nagaland Police has announced that candidates for constable posts must have at least a Class‑8 pass, according to a statement by Police Commissioner Patton.
Nagaland Police officials have clarified that the eligibility criteria for the upcoming constable recruitment now include a minimum educational qualification of Class‑8. The clarification was issued by Police Commissioner Patton in response to queries from aspirants.
The revised requirement aims to broaden the pool of candidates while ensuring a basic level of literacy for frontline personnel. Applicants who do not possess a Class‑8 pass will be deemed ineligible for the selection process.
Interested candidates are advised to review the official notification on the Nagaland Police website and submit their applications within the stipulated deadline.
The police department has also indicated that other standard criteria such as age limits, physical standards and background checks will continue to apply.
