The Governor of Nagaland visited Longwa village in Mon district to assess the aftermath of recent landslides and flooding.

Nagaland Governor Prof. Prof. (Retd.) R.N. Ravi arrived in Longwa, a remote village in Mon district, on Monday to evaluate the impact of the recent landslide and accompanying floods. He toured the affected hamlet, observing damaged homes, blocked roads and water‑logged fields that have disrupted daily life for residents.
During the visit, the governor met with local officials and community leaders, who briefed him on the scale of displacement and the urgent need for relief supplies. He inspected temporary shelters set up for families who have been evacuated from unsafe structures.
The governor pledged that the state administration would expedite relief measures, including restoration of connectivity, provision of clean drinking water and medical assistance. He also directed relevant departments to conduct a detailed damage assessment to guide future rehabilitation efforts.
