Nagaland Churches Call on Government to Reschedule Sunday Official Events

The Nagaland Christian Church Council (NCCC) has formally requested that both the central and state governments refrain from holding official events on Sundays. The council said the day is traditionally reserved for worship and community gatherings among Christians in the state. "We respectfully ask that no public ceremonies or official functions be scheduled on Sunday," a spokesperson for the NCCC said. The request comes as the government prepares to host a series of cultural and administrative events in the coming weeks.
