Nagaland Bar Association to Boycott Court Work on Sept 25, Demands Attorney General’s Removal

The Nagaland Bar Association announced a strike of court proceedings on September 25, calling for the removal of the state’s Attorney General.
The Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) has declared that its members will refrain from all court work on 25 September, marking a coordinated protest against the state’s legal administration.
The boycott is intended to pressure the government to dismiss the Attorney General, whom the bar alleges has acted in a manner that undermines the independence of the judiciary.
NBA officials warned that the suspension of court activities could delay pending civil and criminal matters, urging the authorities to address their grievances without further escalation.
As of now, the Attorney General’s office has not issued a formal response to the bar’s demand.
