Muzaffarpur police in Bihar conducted a special raid on a gambling den located in the Mithanpura area of the district. The operation targeted a large‑scale betting network that had been operating covertly in the region.
The sweep resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals, among them the alleged mastermind who is believed to have coordinated the illicit activities.
Investigators recovered approximately ₹2.72 lakh in cash, a stack of playing cards and dozens of smartphones that were reportedly used to place and manage bets.
Authorities said the probe remains active and further legal action will be taken against all persons linked to the network.
