Police in Muzaffarpur have solved the disappearance of a laptop trader and his wife, linking their murder to a property feud and arresting the victim’s brother.

Muzaffarpur police announced on Friday that the missing laptop trader and his wife, who vanished on May 19, have been found dead. The investigation revealed that the couple was murdered as part of a property dispute involving the trader’s paternal uncle.

Detectives said forensic evidence and witness statements pointed to the victim’s brother as the primary suspect. The brother was taken into custody after the police recovered the bodies and identified the crime scene at a residential plot owned by the family.

Authorities have not disclosed the exact location of the bodies but confirmed that the case is being treated as a homicide. The police spokesperson emphasized that the motive appears to be a long‑standing land ownership conflict, and the investigation will continue to determine any accomplices.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in a case that had drawn public attention across Bihar, prompting calls for swift justice. The suspect remains in police custody pending further interrogation and legal proceedings.
