Residents of Andheri in Mumbai have raised concerns over the absence of a speed breaker outside a local school, despite hundreds of children using the road daily.
Residents of the Andheri suburb in Mumbai have highlighted a safety concern at a local school, where a speed breaker has not been installed despite the road being used daily by an estimated 300 to 400 children.
The lack of a speed breaker has prompted local parents and community members to petition the municipal authorities for immediate action. According to reports, the school’s entrance is adjacent to a busy residential road that sees heavy traffic during peak hours.
The absence of a speed control measure raises questions about pedestrian safety and traffic management in the area. The municipal corporation has yet to respond to the petition, and residents are urging the authorities to prioritize the installation of a speed breaker to protect the children.
