The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for Mumbai, while Raigad district is bracing for very heavy rainfall on Tuesday, July 28.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released its latest forecast for Tuesday, July 28, announcing a yellow warning for the Mumbai region.

A yellow alert signals the possibility of heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flooding and traffic disruptions. Meteorologists predict rainfall amounts ranging from 50 to 100 millimetres across the city.

In Raigad district, authorities have issued a separate alert for very heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to stay indoors, secure loose objects, and monitor local news for updates.

The IMD’s district‑wise warnings aim to help officials and citizens prepare for potential waterlogging and ensure timely evacuation if required.
