Law‑enforcement agencies conducted a coordinated anti‑drug operation in Parvati Valley, Himachal Pradesh, targeting illicit narcotics trade.
A coordinated anti‑drug operation was launched in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh, involving several law‑enforcement agencies. The raid, reported by the Hindustan Times, aimed to disrupt the supply and distribution of illegal narcotics in the region.
Parvati Valley, a popular trekking destination, has in recent years drawn attention from authorities due to reports of drug trafficking along its remote routes. The current operation reflects a broader effort by the state and central agencies to curb the flow of substances in hill districts.
Officials said the operation was carried out in multiple locations within the valley, but did not disclose the number of arrests or the quantity of drugs seized. The agencies involved have indicated that investigations will continue to identify and dismantle the networks operating in the area.
