Madhya Pradesh will transition all firearm licensing, renewal, and transfer processes to a fully online system starting November 1, discontinuing offline applications.
Madhya Pradesh is set to implement a fully digital framework for firearm regulations starting November 1. Under the new system, the entire process of issuing gun licenses, renewing existing permits, and transferring weapons will be conducted exclusively through online platforms.
The state government has announced that all offline application channels will be closed once the new digital infrastructure is live. This move aims to streamline administrative procedures and reduce manual handling of sensitive documents.
In addition to digitizing the licensing process, authorities have indicated that stricter monitoring will be applied to the sale of ammunition. The shift is part of a broader effort to enhance transparency and security in the management of firearms within the state.
