Madhya Pradesh teachers have decided to suspend their TET-related protest until December 20 after Chief Minister Mohan Yadav assured them of addressing their demands. They warned that fresh agitation could resume if the assurances are not fulfilled.
Teachers in Madhya Pradesh had been protesting over issues related to the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), demanding reforms and timely recruitment. Their agitation had drawn attention to concerns about the examination process and employment opportunities.
Following discussions with the state government, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave an assurance to look into the teachers' grievances and address their demands. This assurance prompted the teachers to call off the protest temporarily.
The suspension is set to last until December 20, after which the teachers will review the situation based on any progress made. They will decide further steps depending on the outcome of the assurances.
The teachers cautioned that if the promised steps are not implemented by the deadline, they will resume agitation with renewed vigor. They emphasized that the pause is conditional and not a withdrawal of their core demands.
