Madhya Pradesh's education minister has affirmed the continuation of the electronic attendance system for teachers, dismissing objections by stating teachers already use mobile phones extensively throughout the day.

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided against retracting its mandate for teachers to use an electronic attendance system. Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar has publicly stated that the decision will not be reversed.

Parmar justified the continuation of the e-attendance system by questioning the teachers' objections. He pointed out that teachers frequently use mobile phones for various purposes throughout their workday. Therefore, he argued, using them for attendance should not be a significant issue.

The minister's comments indicate the government's stance on modernizing administrative processes within the education sector, emphasizing the integration of technology for accountability.
