Maharashtra MP Supriya Sule has alleged that around 2.5 lakh voter entries were removed from the electoral roll in Khadakwasla and has called on the ruling parties to investigate the matter.

Maharashtra Member of Parliament Supriya Sule publicly alleged that approximately 250,000 voter records have been deleted from the electoral roll in the Khadakwasla area, a suburb of Pune. The claim was made during a press interaction where she highlighted the scale of the deletions and warned that such irregularities could undermine the credibility of upcoming elections.

Sule urged the state and central ruling parties, including the Election Commission, to launch an immediate inquiry into the alleged removals. She emphasized that transparency and accountability are essential to maintain public confidence in the democratic process.

The MP did not disclose the source of the data but said the figures were derived from a comparison of recent voter lists. She called on officials to verify the numbers, restore any legitimate entries, and take corrective action against any malpractice.

No official response from the Election Commission or the ruling parties has been recorded at the time of reporting. The issue is expected to attract further scrutiny as the next state assembly elections approach.
