An investigation into alleged financial irregularities amounting to approximately ₹10 crore by a former Panchayat Secretary in Tikamgarh's Gram Panchayat Barethi is facing significant delays.

Questions are being raised over the prolonged delay in the investigation of a significant financial scam allegedly orchestrated by a former Panchayat Secretary in Tikamgarh district, Madhya Pradesh. The Gram Panchayat Barethi is at the center of the controversy, where allegations point towards a misappropriation of funds amounting to approximately ₹10 crore.

The complaint, filed by the Sarpanch, accuses the former secretary of embezzling funds under the guise of development work. The alleged scam involves a substantial sum, and the investigation has been ongoing for the past two and a half years without substantial progress.

Further complicating the matter are reports of the secretary's reinstatement after an initial suspension, which has sparked public concern and scrutiny regarding the handling of the investigation and accountability.
