The Madhya Pradesh High Court has raised concerns over the probe into an online gaming scam that allegedly siphoned ₹11.94 crore, noting that key beneficiaries were not charged despite clear financial evidence.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court, sitting in Katni, questioned the police investigation into an online gaming scam that reportedly diverted ₹11.94 crore from legitimate accounts. The court highlighted that the investigation had identified the main beneficiaries and conspirators, yet none of them were formally charged.

During the hearing, the judge pointed out that the financial trail was well documented, with clear records of transfers and withdrawals. Despite this, the prosecution had not filed any chargesheets against the individuals who stood to gain from the scam.

The court’s remarks come amid growing concerns about the efficiency of law‑enforcement agencies in handling cyber‑fraud cases. It urged the authorities to revisit the case files and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

If the investigation is found lacking, the High Court may direct the police to re‑examine the evidence and file appropriate charges, underscoring the judiciary’s role in safeguarding public funds against online fraud.
